I posted the same question (basically) in the Lotus Partner Forum, hoping some knowledgeable person is willing to share one of his/her secrets.
Regarding Linux/Intel -- We actually tested with Windows 2000 & XP, OS/2 and SUSE Linux. The file name extension can be omitted on all of them.
I'll be glad to post some results as soon as possible.
